Online security via e-business is serious stuff, and Ernst & Young is capitalizing on this effort through a new venture called 'eSecurityOnline.com.'
Key to the effort is the ability for companies to go through a test to see how vulnerable or hacker-friendly their systems really are. Called, the 'Online Vulnerability Service, eSecurityOnline.com staff will search for existing threats that apply to a specific network configuration or environment.
The service comes with a hefty price tag: it is available for $5,000 per user, per year, for up to 20 users; the corporate license designed for up to 80 users is $100,000 a year.
Already, EY has more than 65 customers and 1,200 users. Ideal companies include Internet Service Providers, dotcoms and financial services.
