Two new specialty libraries, the Accounting and Audit Specialty Library and the Sales and Use Tax Specialty Library have been added to the CCH Learning Center just in time for those working to complete their continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for 2005 or year-end financial reports.
Accounting and Audit Specialty Library
The Accounting and Audit Specialty Library contains compelling and authoritative content as well as practical guidance and practice aids covering a broad range of topics including fraud, recently issued standards, governmental auditing and not-for-profit organizations, among others. A comprehensive list of current self-study CPE courses including such courses as “Auditing Internal Control: The New PCAOB Standard – The Conceptual Issues,” “Ethics and Independence: New Rulings,” and “Revenue Recognition: General Principals.” Subscribers to this specialty library can access more than 65 courses worth more than 170 CPE credits.
In addition, the courses include links to additional information sources within CCH’s Accounting Research Manager® (ARM) and new courses are constantly being added to help users learn new skills and expand their expertise.
Sales and Use Specialty Library
The Sales and Use Tax Specialty Library offers engaging, web-based self-study courses guiding professionals through one of the most dynamic areas of tax law and practice. Many of the courses in this specialty library include charts providing state-by-state quick-answer reference for such topics as tax treatment of computer software, electronic payment of taxes, statutes of limitations, penalties, mail order tax collections and more. Links to additional information sources within the CCH® Tax Research Network™ and other supplementary articles provide further insight on the course topic
Subscribers to this library can access 10 courses worth more than 25 CPE credits. Among the courses available are: “Sales and Use Tax: Registration and Compliance,” “Sales and Use Tax: Exemptions” and “Sales and Use Tax: Auditing Issues.”
“These new libraries allow professionals to not only meet their continuing professional education requirements, but to gain in-depth background in growing, high value-added specialty practice areas,” Cynthia Kaplan, CCH product manager said in a statement announcing the new libraries.
