The battle of the handheld PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) is heating up once more. Just when Palm seemed to fighting off competition from rival PDA manufacturers, the debut of the new Microsoft Pocket PC has everyone trying to guess who will come out on top.
By sheer size, Palm is a small company compared to Microsoft, but in a display of support for Palm, many of the 70,000 developers who create software applications for Palm have seemingly rallied around Palm as the preferred PDA.
Of course, this isn't the case with all developers, who have opted not to take sides and create applications for the Palm OS as well as Windows CE, the operating system associated with the Pocket PC.
Stay tuned for more news as competition continues to be fierce over the ever-growing PDA marketplace.
