KPMG LLP will host a timely webcast focused on the value-added tax (VAT) implications of doing business in the Cloud. The webcast marks the fourth in a series of TaxWatch webcasts designed to help companies better understand the potential tax risks and opportunities of doing business in a Cloud environment.
The webcast is scheduled for September 19, 2012, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET.
Key VAT considerations for US-based companies, including specific examples of businesses successfully managing VAT within the global Cloud environment, will be the focus.
"The Cloud has created a new borderless business environment in which tax authorities are doing their best to keep up with changes in technology," says Frank Sangster, head of KPMG's International Indirect tax group. "This webcast will explore how companies can address indirect tax implications within the Cloud to make the best decisions for their business."
Joining Sangster on the webcast to provide their insights and perspectives will be Sandy Nicholson, managing director, and Jeremy Gray, senior manager, both from KPMG's Indirect Tax practice.
Tax, finance, information technology, and other business professionals interested in participating in the webcast can register online. The webcast series is part of KPMG's TaxWatch events designed to keep tax professionals updated on recent industry developments and trends.
