BNA Software, an operating division of BNA, recently announced that the company has released version 2010.5 of its BNA Income Tax Planner for general availability.
Version 2010.5 reflects the tax law changes contained in the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010, which President Obama signed into law December 17.
"The modifications provided in the new version of our tax planning software enable tax and accounting professionals to provide seamless services that reflect the new law's changes and extensions," said Dean Sonderegger, executive director, BNA Software.
"We monitored the progress of this compromise legislation from the initial discussions to the president's signature to ensure our clients would have the right solution in a timely manner. BNA Income Tax Planner has been updated, tested, and is ready for immediate installation," Sonderegger said.
Over 20 changes and extensions in the act have been incorporated to the new version of BNA Income Tax Planner. They range from changes in the self-employment tax rate and computation of employee FICA to the extension of provisions such as the AMT exemption, sales tax deduction, and the child tax credit.
