QuickBooks 2009 splashes on the scene with plenty of new features

Intuit announces QuickBooks features available on BlackBerry and iPhone

Intuit has announced that customers using the company's online version of QuickBooks accounting software can now access their accounts on their BlackBerry and their iPhone. Information Week reports that the application has an optimized interface for the mobile screen and customers can access it through a smartphone's mobile browser. Mobile users can check current bank and credit card balances, track who owes them money and who they owe, find vendor and contact information with addresses via Google Maps, and run QuickBooks balance sheets and profit and loss reports.

QuickBooks students get free software trial

The Sleeter Group has announced that a trial version of QuickBooks software will be included with the company's three college textbooks. Students taking courses in QuickBooks are often required to pay hundreds of dollars for a fully-functional version of QuickBooks.

Intuit hits 50,000-member milestone with QuickBooks ProAdvisor program

Intuit Inc. has announced that more than 50,000 accountants, CPAs, and independent business consultants are now members of its QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program. The program provides crucial training, software, technical support, and other resources to help tax and accounting practitioners grow their practices and support clients using QuickBooks financial software.According to Intuit, the success of the program results from its ability to continually expand as the needs of its members' businesses evolve.

Intuit shows off new products at first annual accountants' conference

Accountants and QuickBooks ProAdvisors have converged this week at Intuit Inc.'s first annual Accounting Professionals User Conference to examine the issues that currently threaten their ability to work productively across their most critical tasks. Most attendees seemed pleased with the class offerings and quality of instruction. Debra Kilsheimer of Behind The Scenes Financial Services in Port Orange, FL, was glad she attended the conference. "I always like to learn more," she said. Kilsheimer works with her husband and is considering expanding their business.

According to Intuit, the 2008 version of the nation's best-selling small business financial software focuses on ease-of-use improvements for important day-to-day tasks, as well as connecting in new ways with new applications. QuickBooks Online reaches 100K customer milestone

Intuit Inc. announced that QuickBooks®: Online Edition has 110,000 subscribed companies, with more than 270,000 individual users. This more than 400 percent increase, from 21,000 companies in 2004, makes QuickBooks Online the leading software-as-a-service financial management tool for small business.
