As stretchy exercises go, this is one of my favorites. I think that's because I can really feel it working, so I figure something good must be happening. This is one of those exercises that is a good warm up for any type of leg exercise that you might be contemplating. But mostly I like it because it just feels good.

Calf Stretch
The Calf Stretch will keep your legs flexible and relaxed during a long day at work.
  1. Stand up and face a wall approximately arm's-length away.
  2. Place the palms of both hands on the wall at shoulder height.
  3. Take a big step back with your right leg, allowing the left leg to bend at the knee.
  4. Gently drop the back of your right heel to the floor until you feel a stretch in your right calf muscles.
