Sole Practitioner Needing Advice

A sole practitioner in New Mexico asked me last evening, "I'm looking at buying a new house but am finding several communities having covenants restricting me. I would love to give up the small office that I have, which would save me $500 a month. If I need to see my clients, I go to them anyway. How do other sole practitioners handle this? Just ignore the covenants?"
