For a job well done, we thank you.
It is not easy handling the economy with virtually one tool - interest rates. It is difficult to consider all the reverberations that changes to
interest rates will make throughout the economy of the US and the world, and then the impact of consequential international events.
You truly were the right man for the job! Enjoy your retirement.

Thanks for your years of service. I would like to only
comment that the "Fed" needs to look more closely at banking policies becoming more uniform in
regards to handling of deposits. Banks are the number one reason hard working people seem to have
a hard time getting ahead of the ball when it comes to personal finance. Banks need to have one
balance that dictates how your money is processed, some are showing as many as three to four balances
that dictate fees assessed to an account. This is unethical in my opinion and should be reviewed and
standardized. Thanks again. Happy Retirement sir.

Thank you for your service to America. You did good work!
Please tell the U.S. Government, again, that you believe a consumption tax is the best way-to-go to replace the Income Tax System.
More specifically, please urge Congress to enact the FairTax Act (HR 25 / S 25) to r-e-p-l-a-c-e the Income Tax System (and IRS).

DEAR MR. GREENSPAN:
THE FIRST TIME I BECAME AWARE OF YOU WAS THROUGH AN ARTICLE IN OUR LOCAL PAPER THAT YOU WROTE REGARDING THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF SOMETHING OR
ANOTHER (OBVIOUSLY I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT)ON INFLATION.
THAT ARTICLE WAS SO CLEAR, CONCISE, LOGICAL AND INTERESTINGLY WRITTEN THAT I BEGAN TO UNDERSTAND THE CAUSE AND EFFECTS OF NATIONAL EVENTS UPON
OUR ECONOMY. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE THEORY OF ECONOMICS (THOUGH AT THE TIME I WASN'T AWARE IT WAS ABOUT ECONOMICS).
ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE ALWAYS FELT VERY SECURE WITH YOU AT THE HELM OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE; I TRUST THE DECISIONS THAT YOU MAKE.

As of your retirement from the business field (as if it was possible at all...), there is only one
thing I could tell ... er, really ASK you: being from what is "politically correct said" a developing country (although the most beautiful
and blessed one on either hemispheres...), but really mentioned "behind the scenes" as third-world.
I would like to ask you, as an influent person (both inside governmental, banking and industry institutions) to start a real, worthy change in this world:
that all business men and women should stop harming (in any way or form) others for the
solely purpose of making more and more money ... Could you?
So, less spacecrafts and expensive yachts would be made, in the benefit of social and human care research, development and real implementation of policies
and trade practices all around this world. I have three children (ages 18, 12 and 3), which I'm not sure if they will see this happen ever, but it is worth the shot ...
Thanks for the attention and consideration you might give this message, and may God return to you, on and in the double, all the effort you put into making it happen!...
I wish you the most joyful and deserved rest life owes to you in your retirement!
NESTOR, from Brasil!

If the purpose of raising interest rates is to reduce consumer spending and therefore
lessen the threat of inflation, doesn't rising gasoline prices do the same thing?
It always interests me that the Fed. never tries to stop the causes of inflation, i.e., rising gas prices, but always puts a "band-aid" on inflation.
Also, it was highly disconcerting several years back when the Fed. said "too many persons were employed, and this would lead to inflation." How many Fed.
board members have ever been out of work, and would any give up their posts on the Board to lessen inflation?

Mr. Greenspan,
I am a small economist handling economic and load forecast for my company. I read your presentation and
speech you gave on the status of the US economy regularly to the Board and to the US Congress, and even to the president and his cabinets. What I admire most about you, you have been liked by both parties over many years. One thing you are good
at is you turn the worst economy era into the best you can make. A good example would be the Tax Cut of the Republicans, despite the unrecoverable National debt. During the time of President Clinton, you were all the way to reducing the debt. How is it that you are so good in holding the two magnetic poles together so that they do not repel.

Dear Mr. Greenspan,
I am posting you a copy of my book RealValueAccounting.Com in which I identify inflation´s second component. Real Value Accounting will stop this component forever. I am sure you agree with me that the stable measuring unit assumption has to be revoked. That is exactly what RealValueAccounting.Com(The Book) is all about.
Enjoy your retirement and thank you for all your wisdom you shared with us.

Mr. Greenspan
First I wish you and your family health and happiness on the upcoming holidays and in your retirement. You did a great job and I am sorry that you had to work with a President that should be quarantined and a congress that is money hungry and does not listen to the majority of the U.S. citizens.
Good luck.
