SEC Chief Accountant Jim Kroeker gave an update on the status of the SEC's consideration of the incorporation of IFRS into the U.S. financial reporting system in his remarks on the Accounting panel at PLI's 2012 SEC Speaks conference on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012. Also speaking on that panel were Corp Fin Acting Chief Accountant Craig Olinger, who spoke about loss contingencies, correction of errors vs. reclassifications, among other topics. Kroeker also covered various current topics in auditing/PCAOB rulemaking. Jamie Eichen, Chief Accountant of the Division of Investment Managment, spoke on a number of topics as well, including fair value.
