UltraTax CS offers multiple pricing options because it is a program that can be purchased as either a Software as a Service model or a standard installation package. In the traditional installation model, UltraTax CS pricing is $2,250 for 1040, with a renewal rate of $1,960. SaaS Pricing has a setup fee of $750, with profile pricing dependent on the SaaS profile that you choose for your firm: Full Service - $425, Tax - $350, Bookkeeper - $250, Admin - $165. Special On-Demand Training classes are available to new SaaS users for $250 and include: Write-Up CS Intro to Payroll, Write-Up CS Financial Reporter Concepts, Practice CS Management Resources and Reporting, NetStaff Essentials, UltraTax CS Navigation, UltraTax CS Preseason, and Practice CS Staff Handbook.

UltraTax CS continues to provide flexible data entry, comprehensive diagnostics, a customizable home page, and complete, comprehensive data sharing across applications. Full paperless processing support includes Web client organizers, on-screen review features, document management functionality, client portals, and more. Research is right there in the program, because UltraTax CS is linked to Checkpoint. Utilitizing UltraTax CS with the File Cabinet CS and Net Client programs allows your clients to scan in their source documents, which can then be reviewed, approved, and integrated into the tax preparation software. Client communication documents are available in Spanish, including the transmittal letters, organizers, invoices, and filing instructions.

2009 Tax Return Preparation Enhancements

• Source Document Processing service:  Newly enhanced for the 2010 tax season, FileCabinet CS users can leverage the Source Document Processing service to have their scanned client source documents - such as W2s and 1099s - precisely labeled and neatly organized by the service, and also extract data identified via OCR technology off of the source documents for automatic transfer to UltraTax CS.
• The addition of a Firm / Office tab on the UltraTax CS Homepage providing metrics such as who is currently working in UltraTax CS, the number of each type of return prepared (Form 1040, Form 1120, etc.) in the current year system as compared to the number prepared in prior year UltraTax CS systems, a preparer summary report displaying the number and types of returns completed by each preparer in the office, etc.
• For our tax return client portal (NetClient CS), the capability to seamlessly and in one pass automatically populate the client portal with both the completed tax return and copies of the scanned client source documents (W2, 1099, etc.).
• For the Federal 1040 and all 1040 States, the ability to compare the prior year calculated tax projection worksheet with the current year calculated tax return.
