PwC Consulting to Change Its Name to 'Monday'
PwC Consulting filed for an initial public offering (IPO) for as much as $1 billion in May 2002. In preparation for the IPO, Greg Brenneman was named chief executive officer (CEO) on June 2, 2002 and former Dun & Bradstreet senior executive Frank Sowinski was named [2] chief financial and administrative officer on June 6, 2002.
In announcing the new name, Mr. Brenneman said, "The PricewaterhouseCoopers brand has given us a great heritage. Our new name – Monday – is exactly what we want it to be as we create our new business: a real word, concise, recognizable, global, and the right fit for a company that works hard to deliver results."
"Monday is a new identity," added Mr. Brenneman, "on which to build our company's future. It will have meaning and stand for something – real people, real experience, real business – and that means real results."
