Thomson Reuters has released new data that shows rapid growth in the use of its mobile practice management apps among tax and accounting professionals.
Mobile CS™ – a mobile app that provides access to content from Practice CS®, the comprehensive practice management software from Thomson Reuters – now has over 1,000 active user accounts. At its current growth rate of approximately 15 percent per month, Mobile CS is on track to total nearly 3,000 active user accounts by the end of 2012. Practitioners are using the app more often and have accessed it on more than fifty different types of mobile devices.
Scott Fleszar, Vice President, Strategic Marketing, Tax & Accounting, Thomson Reuters, attributes much of the spike in growth to the introduction of an Android™ version in late 2011. Also playing a role are new features released late 2011, including in-the-field receipt submission, real-time mileage tracking, and mobile time entry, Fleszar noted.
"It's exciting to see our user base growing so quickly, but what's really great is seeing how often users are accessing Mobile CS," Fleszar said. "I think that shows a real shift in mobile technology, from an 'extra' to an integral part of a business environment where the limitations of working on desktop PCs no longer exist."
Information available in Mobile CS includes client data, staff availability, project status, and key firm data including WIP and AR, all in a convenient, mobile-friendly format. Future Mobile CS releases will offer access to additional CS Professional Suite® product functions and data.
A free, fully functional trial version of Mobile CS is available in the Apple® App Store and the Android Market. Once downloaded, any iOS or Android-device user can try Mobile CS free of charge with the sample data that automatically comes with it. A paid license is required to sync Practice CS firm data to Mobile CS. For more information, you can visit CS.ThomsonReuters.com/MobileCS
