Chrometa introduces "Automatic Time Capture" add-on for QuickBooks

Chrometa LLC , creator of time capture tools, has announced the compatibility of its Chrometa time-tracking software with QuickBooks. Those with desktop versions of QuickBooks can use Chrometa to capture and categorize their time automatically – without using notes or timers – and then automatically port the time entries into QuickBooks.
Brett Owens, Chrometa CEO and cofounder, said, "The most common question our customers who use Chrometa for timekeeping and QuickBooks for bookkeeping was. 'How can I get my Chrometa time entries into QuickBooks?' So, we created an export that allows users to export their time entries out of Chrometa into a format that is compatible for immediate import into QuickBooks. This is a great option for users who want a QuickBooks timekeeping alternative, while still having access to the full features of QuickBooks itself."
How Chrometa's export to QuickBooks works:
- Within Chrometa, go to "Account - Integrations - QuickBooks Export."
- Check "Enable QuickBooks Export" and enter your relevant company specific QuickBooks info.
- Click "Update" and you will see an "Export to IIF (QuickBooks)" option located under the "More" menu. This option will create an IIF file that you can then import into QuickBooks.
- To import the IIF file into QuickBooks, go to "File - Utilities - Import - Timer Activities" and select the IIF file that you exported from Chrometa. This will create your Chrometa time entries in QuickBooks.
