SOLUTIONS FOR CPA FIRM LEADERS NEWSLETTER
My monthly newsletter was emailed a few days ago. If you are on my mailing list, you received it within minutes of when it was mailed.
Communication hasn't always been that easy. The following ad appeared in a California newspaper in 1860 to attract riders for the Pony Express: "Wanted. Young, skinny, wiry fellows. Not over 18. Must be expert riders. Willing to risk death daily. Orphans preferred."
In 1860-61, for a letter to travel from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California it took 10 days in summer and 12-16 days in winter. New riders took over every 75 to 100 miles. Riders got a fresh horse every 10 to 15 miles.
Here are more interesting facts about the Pony Express .
Here is a link to the articles in my September issue . This month's titles are:
- Decisions, Decisions
- Enough is Enough. Or is it?
- Prescription: One Dose of Rita - In Person
And, I didn't have to go near a horse.
