Big4.com launches newly redesigned Web site
Big4.com, a social networking forum for professionals and alumni of Accenture, Andersen, BearingPoint, Capgemini, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, recently announced the release of its fully renovated Web site.
The site offers extended functionality, enhanced search engine optimization, and elevated social networking capabilities. The only forum of its kind focused on the Big 4 demographic, the site provides premium services for accounting, tax, and consulting professionals with Big 4 career experience, according to the forum.
"We redesigned Big4.com from the ground up in order to create an all-inclusive resource for Big 4 professionals and alumni to network, recruit, and interact with experts in the areas of accounting, tax, law, IT, and consulting," said David Hunter, vice president at Big4.com. "We are the only focused online platform to address this very attractive and globally dispersed population."
Leading organizations such as Google, American Express, KPMG, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, E&Y, Target Corp., Bloomberg, Marriott, Visa, Walgreens, and Vanguard already have benefited as clients of the Big4.com job board.
The enhanced Big4.com Web site offers a simplified Web 2.0 platform - providing information in an intuitive, organized manner. New features include firm-specific portals, an informative blog, job posting packages, and a new resume search capability.
"Big4.com was originally developed to bring together global professionals with a commonality of career experience from Big 4 firms and provide networking, information, and commerce. The new site advances this vision to an entirely new level - offering dedicated recruiting, advertising, and information services," said Hunter.
"In this new site, the networking scope has been extended to include a robust LinkedIn group, our large following on Twitter, and our growing presence on Facebook and Xing. Alumni can connect with like-minded colleagues, extend their network, and avail of community benefits," Hunter said. "Recruiters can attract candidates with desired experience and training in accounting, tax, IT, and consulting with a focus - unlike on other generic career sites. Big4.com also enables advertisers to present their products and services to an attractive demographic with large purchasing power."
Big4.com is established as a primary source for current, relevant tax and accounting news and is often sited within major news stories; for example, CIO.com's (December 2009) "Tiger Woods and Accenture: A High (and Now Low) Performance Relationship." Big 4 also has been referenced in Chicago Business and within several state CPA society publications. Big4.com was named one of the top five Twitter feeds for job hunters in accounting by FINS.com, which is part of The Wall Street Journal digital network.
Big4.com is the tax and accounting profession's premier resource for Big 4 professionals and alumni. Our goal is to build upon the commonly shared experiences of alumni who have worked at any of the Big 4 firms, as well as provide a trusted online platform for inter-alumni connectivity - enabling users to post and apply to attractive opportunities and receive updates on Big 4 news through our official site blog.
