Minnesota accounting firm announces merger

Rochester, MN-based regional accounting and financial services firm Wolter & Raak has announced its merger with Bruce L. Swanson, CPA, also of Rochester.

Wolter & Raak [1], has offices in St. Charles, Winona and Rochester. The merger allows Wolter & Raak to enhance its auditing practice, according to a report in the Rochester Post-Bulletin. Swanson's current practice is reportedly made up of about 60 percent audits.

"The main focus on his firm has been auditing, and that is something we have been lacking in," said Arthur Raak, shareholder with Wolter & Raak.

"He will be a mentor to the younger employees, and as audit director for Wolter & Raak, Bruce will oversee that aspect of our business," stated Raak in a news release.

the Post-Bulletin reports that Swanson will be based in the Rochester office of Wolter & Raak.

Wolter & Raak has 22 employees in its three offices.
