LeapFILE announces file-transferring partnership with several CPA societies
Transferring files securely and easily is a real need for certified public accountants, because they routinely exchange financial data, audit files, and other sensitive documents with clients. This is often done using e-mail, but due to size limitations, large attachments cannot reach the intended recipients. Also, e-mails are often not transmitted securely, so sending files containing sensitive client information puts the CPA and the client at risk. Some have opted to mail CDs or set up FTP systems, but these methods can be time-consuming, expensive, and burdensome. SecureSend provides an easy web-based solution to meet this particular need.
"CPAs require a way to exchange files with clients, and need to do so easily, quickly, and securely especially during the busy audit and tax seasons," said Peter C. Chang, president and CEO of LeapFILE. "The existing methods used today, such as e-mail or courier service, are just not adequate enough, but the SecureSend service directly addresses this real market pain point. We are excited to partner with the Maryland Association of CPAs and other state CPA associations to provide this new benefit to their members."
"We are always looking for innovative services that will bring greater ease and security for our members and their clients, at a reasonable cost," said J. Thomas Hood III, CPA, CEO of the Maryland Association of CPAs. "SecureSend impressed us with its aptness for the most sensitive of client communications." MACPA boasts a membership of more than 9,000 CPAs.
