1. A married couple are now separated and in the divorce process. The wife paid mortgage payments directly withdrawn from her checking account. Husband says he is taking the deduction, but wife's accountant says she is entitled since she made payments. 
2. Comprehensive income is defined as all transactions/events that change the equity of an entity except transactions with owners (as owners). That would include prior period adjustments (corrections of prior periods). However, the effect of prior period adjustments does not go on the Statement of Comprehensive Income. 
3. Tax reporting for professional gamblers. A potential new customer called me and asked me if I knew what tax rules were available for professional gamblers. My question is what make a person a "professional gambler"  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
