More Firms Combine – Goal is Long-term Growth
Indianapolis-based accounting firms Zurface, Sanders & Rasor and LM Henderson & Company PC have merged to form LM Henderson and Company, LLP. The new firm, with five principals and 20 certified public accountants, will become the 15th largest accounting firm in Indianapolis.
Two central Connecticut firms, Mahoney, Sabol & Company LLP and Gomola & DiBella, LLP, of Middletown, combined last week and will keep the Mahoney Sabol & Company name. The new firm, which employs more than 30 tax and accounting professionals, has offices in Glastonbury, Essex and Somers, in addition to Middletown.
LM Henderson principal Bill Blaser said “This merger gives us the size to take on larger engagements, while allowing us to deliver the high-quality personalized service that enabled both firms to thrive.” The new firm will also provide greater career opportunities for employees, he said. “The larger firm environment will give our employees a greater chance for upward mobility.”
Both Indianapolis firms offered highly personalized accounting tax and consulting services, Mike Rasor, principal said. “We are confident this culture will help our clients and staff continue to grow.”
James Mahoney, partner in Mahoney, Sabol & Company, said, “This merger brings two complementary firms together, greatly expands our Middletown presence and further strengthens our service capabilities in the central Connecticut and Middlesex County markets. . . . We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Gary Gomola and his staff to our family.”
"I am proud to be merging with a firm that I have always respected and admired as a friendly competitor,” Gomola said. “By combining forces we can now bring our collective skills to bear for current and future clients.”
Mr. Gomola is a Certified Valuation Analyst, in addition to being a CPA and specializes in computer technology and the Internet.
