Keeping Track of Your Teens During Tax Season
“Our GPS tracking system allows parent[s] to monitor their child’s use of a car in real time,” Mark Goodman, President and CEO, of 16ndriving.com, said in the statement introducing Little Brother.
Both the device and the high gain dual band antenna can be installed under the dash of any vehicle. Operating on the digital control channel of the cellular network allows parents to view the child’s driving at anytime and is capable of monitoring automobile speed, starts, stops, and speed violations, as well as pinpointing virtual location, even in remote areas of the U.S. Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The system also offers upgradeable and expandable functionality.
“Being the parent of a teenage driver behind the wheel is serious business for us all,” Goodman remarks. “The statistics associated with teenage drivers are alarming. If you are a parent of a teenage driver like I am, these statistics are frightening.”
Fourteen percent of all motor vehicle accidents involve teenage drivers and 33 percent of those occur because the teenage driver was speeding, according to Goodman. Even more sobering is the fact that almost half of teen drivers killed in car accidents have at least one passenger in their vehicle at the time of the accident.
In addition to the Little Brother system, 16ndriving.com offers a variety of additional services and information for both teenage drivers and their parents. Fleet tracking products, service and information is also available.
“You may not always be able to be with your child, but you really can have the peace of mind knowing that you are doing everything you can to ensure safe driving habits,” Goodman states.
