Abilene Accountant Jerry Love Elected Chairman of Texas CPA Society
Love will chair the TSCPA’s board of directors, which sets policy, manages programs and oversees activities designed to serve CPAs throughout the state. During his tenure, Love is expected to focus on expanding the TSCPA’s financial literacy efforts, including the society’s Money Management U. workplace financial literacy program, as well as increasing the number of CPA and student members.
Love is president/chief executive officer (CEO) and a shareholder of Davis, Kinard & Co., P.C. He is a personal financial specialist, certified financial planner and certified valuation analyst, in addition to being a CPA. A frequent speaker and trainer for non-profit organizations of all sizes in areas of board training, board responsibilities, strategic planning and fund raising, his professional experience focuses on individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax return preparation and review for physicians, health care entities, non-profit organizations, manufacturing entities, construction companies, retail stores, and a variety of other professionals such as architects and attorneys. He also has extensive personal financial planning, litigation support and business valuation services.
Joining Love as TSCPA officers are Jim Smith, of Dallas, as chairman-elect, Linda Johnson of College Station, as treasurer, and Anthony B. Ross, Sr. of Austin, as secretary. Members of the TSCPA Executive Board include:
