Burnout? Tips for Overcoming Burnout!
Here are a few ideas to help you combat burnout:
- Plan Ahead: Plan your vacations in advance. Encourage your staff to do the same! Make the time, a day, or two, can make a world of difference.
- Leave your business in good hands: Train personnel and empower those employees to take charge while you are away. Have a good plan for planning time off to ensure appropriate coverage and client maintenance.
- Don't check in: Trust your staff to make the right decisions. Leave a number where you can be reached, but inform staff to use it only in an emergency. Trust your staff and empower them, it does work.
- Come back a day early. Plan to come home a day early so you have time to unwind and prepare for your return to work. Go in a day early and check your mail and prepare your calendar for your arrival back to work.
Before burnout overcomes you or your staff, make the commitment to schedule time off. Whether it is a day or two, or a two-week vacation, make the time.
