Survey Ranks KPMG as Canada's Leading Tax Practice
The 2002 edition of the annual survey, based upon the responses of in-house tax specialists and CFOs at the world's leading corporations and financial institutions, ranked KPMG as "best overall" in both tax planning and tax transaction advice among all Canadian accounting and law firms.
"Clearly, we at KPMG are pleased with the survey results for 2002, and we are committed to ensuring that our strong performance continues," says Larry James, KPMG's Canadian Managing Partner, Tax.
In the survey's ranking of individual tax professionals, KPMG partners Vance Sider and Gabe Hayos were listed among the country's top ten tax advisers. KPMG also ranked among the top five firms in all six tax specialty areas covered by the survey, and was the overall leader in Mergers and Acquisitions.
"KPMG's ranking as the number one tax advisory practice in Canada demonstrates that our clients are impressed with our tax service operations both at home and globally," says James.
