"Best" U.S. Companies Boasts CPA Firms, Great Plains

Fortune magazine has released its annual list of the Best Companies to work for in America [1], and making the list this year were two Big 5 firms and one accounting software giant.

Great Plains [2], a popular provider of back-end office solutions, came in the highest of the three accounting-related companies at Number 15. Deloitte & Touche [3] ranked number 31, and Ernst & Young [4] came in at number 86.

Fortune annually surveys companies in America by sending 250 random questionnaires to company employees, asking them to provide feedback to the magazine based on a variety of factors. Results are tallied and then released.

Leading the list this year of the Most Admired companies is General Electric, followed by Microsoft, Dell Computers and Cisco Systems.
