McCracken Named Chief of Deloitte Consulting

As expected, Douglas M. McCracken was tapped to fill the chief executive post at Deloitte Consulting [1]. He currently is Managing Director of Deloitte Consulting, Americas, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Deloitte & Touche USA.

McCracken succeeds Pat Loconto, who was CEO since Deloitte Consulting's global practice began in 1996.

McCracken has said he will continue the firm's pursuit of new business in a variety of arenas, including lucrative e-Business engagements; already, the firm has more than 400 of these under their belts.

He officially takes over as CEO on June 1.
