Mark Your Calendar: Auditing in a Small Business Environment
According to the forum agenda, [1] the August 4 session will focus on educating smaller registered accounting firms about the Board’s work and the August 5 session will focus on PCAOB issues affecting audit committees at smaller public companies. The goal is to ensure ample opportunity for discussion of PCAOB issues facing small business communities between representatives of this sector and Board members and staff.
The program is limited to those groups in the small business community most directly impacted by the PCAOB’s oversight actions. Auditors from registered accounting firms having less than 2o issuer clients and the members of the audit committees of small public companies are encouraged to register. A second forum is planned in Massachusetts.
