Survey Shows Workers Want To Change Jobs
With record high employment figures, people are taking advantage of a strong economy and the high demand for quality candidates. The survey suggests that 77 percent plan to use Internet career sites and 83 percent will use newspaper classified ads for their job search.
It’s clear that today’s worker knows what he/she wants. They want an ideal workplace – a workplace geared toward the individual. Among the important criteria for a workplace: flexible work hours, options to telecommute, and casual attire policies.
The most important factor, however, for accepting a job is salary (89 percent). More than 50 percent of respondents believe they are underpaid while two percent believe they are overpaid. At the same time, more than 85 percent work less than 50 hours a week.
