Sage Expands Partnerships, Markets
Sage and CCH Expand Strategic Alliance
The strategic alliance between Sage Software, a North American leader in providing small and mid-sized businesses, as well as their accountants, with a broad range of business management software, and CCH, a leading provider of tax and accounting information, software and services in North America, was first announced in May 2004. The new expansion of the alliance will give Sage the ability to provide it’s customers and accountant partners with access to a range of CCH specialty information sources. CCH will acquire the Sage Practice Solutions line, including Sage Practice Manager, Write-up and Document Manager as its part of the alliance.
“Accountants are an important link between Sage and our business customers,” Sage Software CEO Ron Verni said in announcing the expanded alliance. “This expanded partnership strengthens both Sage Software and CCH. It enable Sage to focus on providing our accountant partners with the best business management applications and to provide even more and better information resources. By focusing on our strengths, together Sage Software and CCH can bring accountants unmatched programs in the industry.”
Both companies are actively exploring opportunities to work together in a number of other areas, as well. Among the opportunities being explored are more product integration between Sage accounting and ERP solutions and CCH income tax; sales and use tax; and accounting solutions and new ways to enhance Sage offerings in the corporate market.

Introducing MicroAccounting Chicago
Resulting from the purchase of the accounting software division of Alliance Technology Group (ATG) LLC and a partnership with MicroAccounting Solutions Dallas, MicroAccounting Chicago offers specialized services to businesses in the Chicago area.
