H&R Block Introduces Form-Free Tax Prep

Posted by accountingweb on Jan 7 2000 71 printer friendly
Imagine. You walk in and sit down in front of a computer as it asks you simple questions about your tax return. A short time later, your federal or state return is ready to be filed electronically. You pay the vendor $9.95 for a federal return or $4.95 for a state return and you leave. Could it really be that simple?

H&R Block [1] seems to think so. What was just described is their new Tax Online Program. The program will be available January 15, 2000. The company promises that their web-based software is simple to learn yet powerful enough for the most complex return.

What’s more is that H&R Block is putting 40 years of expertise behind its new product. The program guarantees accuracy and satisfaction.
