Vest Strengthens Financial Services Offerings

This week, Dallas-based financial services giant H.D. Vest [1] announced a new alliance with Mortgage.com in an effort to continue building its portfolio of offerings to clients and customers.

Customers can log on to the mortgage site through the regular Vest Web site.

This adds yet another player to the "one-stop" shopping marketplace, as H&R Block recently consolidated its real estate subsidiaries into one company to deliver more focused services as well.

Vest also has received press lately as it attempted to compete head-on with Block to provide free tax-return preparation on its site--a clear sign that Vest, indeed, wants a larger piece of the pie.
