Countdown to Proposed Global Credential

On Thursday, January 3, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. EST, the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) will conduct a telephone media briefing announcing the results of the membership ballot on the proposed global business credential, Strategic Business Professional (IISBP). The media briefing is scheduled to take place directly after receipt of the vote results from the independent tabulator.

Although participation in the briefing will only be open to the media, the briefing will be audio-taped and a telephone playback number will be available following the briefing.

All members of the AICPA are eligible to vote on this controversial issue. If you have not yet cast your vote, do so today. All ballots must be received at the AICPA by 12/28/01. Only ballots sent by mail will be counted, however you can download a copy of the ballot [1] from the Internet.
