SEC Launches New Investment Info Web Site
Visitors to the Investment Adviser Public Disclosure Web site (IAPD) will be able to access registration documents filed by the 7,500 SEC-registered investment advisors and more than 1,700 state-registered advisors. In the coming months, information about more state-registered advisors will be available.
Documents available on the site include information about each adviser's business, advisory services and fees, and disciplinary problems that may have occurred during the past 10 years.
"Investors need to know who they're dealing with and IAPD will help them do just that, with just a click of a mouse," said NASSA president Joseph Borg.
Investors lacking Internet access may request copies of investment adviser registration statements by calling the SEC Public Reference Room at 202-942-8090 or by contacting their state securities regulator.
