KPMG announces new addition to state and local tax practice
In her new position, Crighton will help grow the firm’s SALT practice’s client base and provide its existing clients with a broader set of KPMG tax services. In doing so, she will work closely with KPMG partners and professionals in other Tax service lines and collaborate with the firm’s Audit and Advisory practices.
Crighton has 14 years of experience in state and local tax matters involving corporate income, franchise, sales and use, and property tax issues. Prior to joining KPMG, Crighton served as a managing partner at the law firm Oreck, Crighton, Adams & Chase LLC, where she provided comprehensive counsel to leading national corporations in tax affairs including state and local tax litigation involving state corporate income, franchise, sales and use, and property tax matters.
Crighton is a member of the Colorado, Louisiana, Wyoming, and Missouri Bar Associations and a member of the American Bar Association. She also has authored numerous articles in various tax publications.
Crighton holds a LL.M in tax law from New York University and a J.D. from the University of Missouri, where she also earned a B.S. degree in accounting.
