ExamWeb Rescues CPA Review Students

Mark's CPA Review, Inc., a California-based CPA exam review company, declared bankruptcy and cancelled [1] all ongoing CPA review classes last week, much to the dismay of about 1,000 students, currently enrolled in the company's preparation course for the May, 2001 CPA exam.

Rushing to the rescue is ExamWeb [2], a privately held assessment company that offers online review courses in, among other things, the CPA exam. ExamWeb has stepped up to the plate and provided all of the currently-enrolled Mark's CPA students with free passwords and access to ExamWeb's review material. The service offered by ExamWeb is valued at approximately $750,000.

"Students will be sitting for the May exam regardless of the business problems at Mark's CPA Review and passing is key to keeping their careers on track. Students who take advantage of ExamWeb's offer will receive free access to all of ExamWeb's CPA review material between now and the May exam, including access to simulated CPA tests, video and downloadable training material, and real-time feedback.
