PricewaterhouseCoopers Launches Second Generation of its Intellectual Property Exchange

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) [1] launched the upgraded e-business version of its Web site, The Intellectual Property Exchange (IPEX). The IPEX assists intellectual asset management (IAM) professionals in search of intellectual property acquisition, joint venture and licensing opportunities.

The site's interactive features provide subscribers with a central forum to obtain and share knowledge on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and business know-how.

"With a growing number of companies interested in realizing the full potential of their intellectual assets, we have recognized and acted upon the need to create a location for buyers, sellers, licensors and licensees to initiate transactions," says Bryan Benoit, Houston-based partner in PWC's Intellectual Asset Management practice.

For an annual fee of $25, subscribers can have full access to IPEX's basic services, including the attorney referral database, online Q&A, and articles on a broad spectrum of IAM topics. Intellectual property and technology listings and online IAM tools are available for an additional charge.
