Bush or Gore? Will the real Front Runner Step Up?
The survey suggests that nearly 50 percent of respondents lean toward Governor Bush in the November election, whereas approximately 30 percent are partial to Vice President Al Gore. The respondents supporting Bush say that he is more able and willing to help America's small businesses succeed.
To qualify for the study, respondents had to own or operate a business with fewer than 100 employees. Of the 204 respondents 25 percent had revenues of less than $250,000, and 58 percent had revenues of more than $1 million. Small businesses with fewer than 100 employees represent more than 98 percent of all employers, according to a report by the U.S. Census Bureau.
International Communications Research, of Media, PA, conducted the independent survey.
