Internet Taxation Panel May Delay Report
The U.S. Senate's primary sponsor of the panel, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), has suggested that the Commission may need more time to file their report than first anticipated due to disagreement on a few core issues. Wyden commented that the panel is stuck on a few details that are delaying progress, including for example, taxation of mail order sales.
Other delays were due to funding issues, which have now been resolved thanks to the support of several large companies. Because the progress is delayed, Sen. Wyden said he would seek more time from Congress for the panel's report.
