H&R Block Inks Mega-Deal with AOL
With this deal, H&R Block replaces Intuit as the exclusive online promoter of tax services for AOL Time Warner.
AOL Time Warner claims 33 million subscribers to its AOL and CompuServe services, and millions more who are non-subscribers also use the services.
"Our products and services will be more accessible to the largest consumer audience online," said Mark Ernst, Block president and chief executive.
On the flip side of the tax agreement, H&R Block has agreed to promote AOL services to its more than 17 million tax clients.
