AICPA Names James A. O'Malley to Head Public Affairs Division
Mr. O'Malley will be the Institute's senior person in the Washington, DC office, and will direct the AICPA's initiatives in the areas of Congressional and Political Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Public Relations and Communications, Relations with State CPA Societies, Academic Affairs and Career Development, Minority Initiatives, and Women and Family Issues.
A former Chairman of the Creative and Advertising Practice at public relations firm Burson-Marsteller, Mr. O'Malley brings a range of experience with corporate reputation building, business-to-business advertising, government affairs, and international experience.
With the significant challenges facing the accounting profession today, the Institute is confident that Mr. O'Malley's extensive communications and public relations background will be right on target for what the profession needs at this critical time.
