Who Wants to be a Consultant? CFOs Do!

Are finance professionals going the way of the rest of the market? Seems so, according to a new survey conducted by RHI Management Resources [1], which found that 75 percent of CFOs surveyed said consulting is an 'attractive career option.'

The reasons were attributed to the variety of work involved, along with a professional challenge to the work itself. Respondents included 1,400 CFOs from companies with more than 20 employees.

Flexibility to hours' worked also is an atractive component of the consulting field.

'The wide range of project work available has made consulting a viable career option for executives seeking more flexibility and greater professional challenge,' said Paul McDonald, executive director of RHI Management Resources.
