East Coast Firm Moves into Los Angeles
Reznick Group, CP, of Bethesda, said it plans to hire 20-25 staff for its new office in Century City. The new office brings the company’s total locations to eight, with two in California. Reznick opened its first West Coast practice in Sacramento in 2003.
Reznick Group, established in 1977, says it currently employs about 1,000 people. Inside Public Accounting ranks it No. 17 in the U.S. in size. The new office adds to the firm’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic, Atlanta and Chicago.
CPA Scott Farb was hired to manage the LA office. He is responsible for building the business in Southern California, as well as Reznick’s commercial real estate practice, the company says. While the office is new, the firm is no stranger to LA, the firm says.
"We have been serving clients in California for almost 30 years and are excited to expand our physical presence in the state under Scott's leadership," said Firm Managing Principal Kenneth E. Baggett. "Opening an office in Los Angeles will help us better serve our Southern California clients and better position ourselves in that market."
Farb has experience with closely-held public and private real estate companies, and has served public, private and institutional real estate clients. Prior to joining Reznick Group, Farb was in charge of Gumbiner Savett Inc.'s National Real Estate Group. He had been a senior partner at Kenneth Leventhal & Company prior to the merger with Ernst & Young in 1995.
