Microsoft Sued by Employees Over Racial Bias
A hostile workplace added to discrimination with performance reviews, pay and promotions, according to the plaintiff's attorneys. Wrongful termination of African-American employees also is alleged.
Microsoft has denied any wrongdoing thus far. Still, the suit comes on the heels of a complaint last year regarding an individual who claims he was passed over for promotions due to his ethnic origin. Lawyers for the plaintiff in this case reported that less than three percent of Microsoft's 22,000 employees, along with only 1.6 percent of its 5,500 managers, are African-American.
