It's a Wireless World at COMDEX

Wireless, wireless and more wireless were the buzzwords at COMDEX, the popular high-tech show in Las Vegas over the past few days.

Innovations in wireless are everywhere, according to industry watchdogs, and will enable previously wired components like stereos, TVs and other devices to be entirely self-sufficient thanks to increased bandwidth and inventions from some of the industry's top technology producers.

Also of note are Web filtering services that use artificial intelligence technology to keep, for example, employees from surfing the Web for personal use. Although it has been reported in the news that some companies are encouraging employees to go to the Internet while at work as part of an expanded benefits package, there still are a number of companies who prefer that employeees surf on their own time.
