EY Strengthens Presence in Latin America

Ernst & Young [1] has improved its market position in Latin American through a 25 percent purchase of Softtek [2], a company based in Mexico that provides IT support to large-size companies in many countries.
Analysts predict both companies benefit greatly from the alliance. EY, one on side, will improve its technical and managerial abilities in Latin American areas, while Softtek obtains important access to EY's network of international operations.
The relationship between the two companies is not really new; Softtek has subcontracted with EY, and also have served as a joint-venture partner in several projects.
