In an electronic age, where people receive more email in a day than they ever got in a week, face to face communication seems a bit strained. In the recruiting arena, employers are relying more on online resumes and electronic job posting. Doesn’t exactly set the environment for relationships, does it?

Enter Austin, Texas based Hire.com’s e-Recruiter service. e-Recruiter is helping companies put relationships back into the recruiting process. It does this by maintaining long term contact with prospects interested in a company.

Beyond building a resume database, the service captures active and passive job seekers coming from other web sites into a company’s web site, markets positions within the company, and responds quickly to both prospects and the company’s hiring manager. The service can even download prospect data to a company’s human resources database once they are hired.

Besides relationship development, the service will automatically cross-post job openings to leading job boards including Monster.com, CareerMosaic, Yahoo!, and Headhunter.net.
