Maryland CPA receives award

Allen DeLeon, CPA and Founding Partner of Gaithersburg, MD-based DeLeon & Stang, CPAs and Advisors, was honored by the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants last month at its annual meeting. DeLeon received the Max Teichman Outstanding Chair Award for his work as Chairman of the MACPA's Legislative Executive Committee for 2007-2008.

DeLeon said "It is an honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to serve the MACPA and my fellow CPAs as Chair of the Legislative Executive Committee. I was pleased that we were able to get some important legislation passed in the Maryland Legislature this year, notably the CPA Mobility bill."

DeLeon is a founding partner of DeLeon & Stang. His specialties include corporate and individual tax planning and preparation, estate planning, investment management and insurance advisory services for businesses and individuals.
