The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Information Technology Conference is scheduled for June 26 – 29, 2005 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Attendees at the 25th Anniversary conference will gain insights needed to maximize technology value at the only conference geared exclusively to CPA technologists.
A variety of sessions provide up-to-the-minute information and education about new products, solutions, practice management and leadership. More than 50 exhibitors and sponsors will be attending at what is being called the premiere technology conference for CPAs.
Among the exhibitors is Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., who will be demonstrating the award-winning ScanSnap low-volume production scanner. CPAs have embraced the ScanSnap scanner since its introduction because it is easy to use, produces outstanding image quality and has one-touch functionality. The ScanSnap, a unique high-speed, double-sided color scanner that comes bundled with Adobe ® Acrobat ® 7.0 software, is an excellent solution for individuals and small office users.
There will also be a number of special events for Certified Information Technology Professionals (CITPs) including a Town Hall Meeting, a CITP Networking Lounge, and “Rick Richardson and TECH” – a 25 year retrospective and celebration sponsored by CITP Credential. In addition two free optional sessions, “Troubleshooting Client Errors in Quickbooks” and “Marketing CITP in your practice or within your organization” will also be offered on June 26th.
The conference is organized into five tracks: Business and Industry (B&I) Matters, Consulting, Management, Technology and Firm Issues. There are also five fields of study including Accounting, Auditing, Ethics, Personal Development and Specialized Knowledge. A downloadable brochure is available detailing all the sessions as well as providing scheduling and registration information.
