The American Institute of CPAs has teamed up with CFO.com to provide two series of quarterly webcasts over the coming year on subjects of interest to financial executives. One series will be called the CFO Roundtable; the other the SEC Quarterly Update.
Each SEC update will take place approximately two weeks prior to the end of the calendar quarter. The first one will be held on September 19th. It will last two hours and will focus on the perspectives of preparers and auditors on the following questions:
- What should both parties expect from the evolving environment?
- How will the relationship between corporate finance and audit firms change?
- What decisions or actions will be required of each party in response to the changes?
Two CPE credits will be awarded for each two-hour webcast. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions, post comments and interact with the presenters. The cost is $79 for one webcast or $249 for four. The next SEC updates are scheduled for Dec. 19, 2002, Mar. 20, 2003, and June 19, 2003.
The CFO Roundtable series will address other current topics and issues of interest to chief financial officers and controllers. Examples: off-balance sheet financing, auditing, ERISA, and XBRL.
