Leslie Murphy, chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), formally announced the FlexWise program during her presentation Monday at the Institute’s Practitioners Symposium in Las Vegas.
As employers across the country deal with retention issues, more and more are turning to flexible work arrangements to keep talented employees. To help members develop arrangements that fit their individual needs, the AICPA is offering FlexWise™, an online toolkit covering policy and procedure guidelines, orientation training and best practices in telecommuting, job sharing and compressed schedules.
“Our most recent survey, A Decade of Changes in the Accounting Profession: Workforce Trends and Human Capital Practices, indicates that more than 70 percent of professionals working in public accounting, as well as business and industry, report a high degree of concern about work/life issues” Linda Bergen, Chair of the AICPA Work/Life and Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, said in a prepared statement.
The per-employee cost of FlexWise is $15 for AICPA members and $18 for non-members. Flexwise may be ordered online at www.cpa2biz.com. FlexWise was created by, and is a trademark of, Rupert and Company, a workplace consulting firm in Washington, D.C.
